How Skin Wisdom helps Aging Skin:

As we age, the skin, our largest organ, undergoes many changes. Since our skin is more visible than other "aging" parts, we tend to be more aware of and sensitive to those changes. Changes to the skin first begin in our late 20's. There are four essential reasons why skin ages.

  • The supply of oils produced by the skin diminishes as the glands in the skin reduce their activity. The skin starts to dry and, just like the dry bed of a river, many fine lines and cracks begin to appear. Skin begins to lose its integrity.
  • Least known - the immunity of the skin is impaired as we age. Inflammatory reaction that occurs with too much sun and with other injuries is slowed down. Damage from make up, the environment, and smoking are accelerated, as is damage because the skin is providing no early warning system and has fewer defenses of its own.
  • The dermis, which reaches adult size at 15-years of age, begins to thin at age 55. The loss of elastin and changes in the collagen are responsible for the major changes noted. These changes, coupled with heredity and the ravages of chronic injury affect overall appearance. 
  • The epidermal layer (which in the average young adult turns over every 10-hours) starts "dead cells build up on the surface. Skin looks tired and shallow. For many years, it was thought that only exfoliation, using alpha or beta hydroxy, vitamin C and other acids, or laser peels could improve the quality and texture of the skin; so much that it would actually give women and men a fresher, younger look and eliminate "dead cell build up."

Aging Skin / Healthy Skin Regimen

For best results follow this regimen twice daily.

 

Step One: Deep Cleanse the skin with Skin Wisdom Self-Activating Cleanser

Gently dab a thin layer over dry skin, wait 10-15 seconds and pat off with a tissue or soft dry cloth.

 

Step Two: Rinse and Calm Skin with Skin Wisdom Face & Body Wash

Its' gentle foaming non-alkaline soap is ph balanced and can be used on the face or over the entire body. A nylon puff or sponge works well for Face & Body wash to foam. Rinse thoroughly (3 times) with warm water.

 

Step Three: Moisturize and Protect skin with Skin Wisdom Ultra-Moisturizing Crème

Wash hands first and then apply a thin layer of Ultra-Moisturizing Crème to the skin. If the skin area is dry or flaky continue to add Ultra Moisturizing Crème until the skin area is smooth and silky. Repeat as necessary.

Ultra-Moisturizing Crème provides a 10-12 hour barrier of protection onto the skin to promote recovery and rejuvenation. Contains vitamin E which is an antioxidant and vitamin A which helps to reduce brown spots.

 

Step Four: Optional - Nurture and Protect Skin with Skin Wisdom Rescue Spray

Place a micro thin layer of 10-12 hour protection over your skin. Think of it as an invisible barrier. Just shake well and spray a fine mist over your skin. Pat or air dry.
